Jin Shin Jyutsu
Organ Patterns

When I do Jin Shin Jyutsu Patterns on a client, I hold the positions of my hands until I feel the pulses come together. You will most likely be able to feel the pulse in many of the positions. It takes a sensitive and knowing touch. If at first you don't feel anything, simply trust your intuition and with practice your physical senses may develop over time. I believe rubbing your hands together before you start gives them more piezo electricity and makes your treatment more effective. All patterns can be done sitting or lying down. It is important for you or whoever you are practicing on to be comfortable.

Pancreas, Stomach and Bladder Patterns

Pancreas, stomach and bladder are the most commonly needed patterns. I would recommend starting with at least 9 deep breaths on each point and more if you have time or your body is asking for it. If you have lots of time 2 minutes on each point is ideal.

Pancreas Pattern

1) Place the fingertips of your right hand on your tailbone. Your right hand will remain on your tailbone for the first four left hand placements (or until the next underlined text). Begin with the fingertips of your left hand behind the medial inside of your left ankle (JSJ5L aka kidney 3 in Chinese acupressure). Breathe deeply 9 times.

2) Move your left hand to the inside of your leg, just above your left knee (JSJ1L) and breathe deeply 9 times.

3) Bring your left hand to your pubic bone and breathe deeply 9 times.

4) Now place your left hand on the center base of your right ribcage (JSJ14R) and breathe 9 times.

5) Leaving your left hand on the base of your right rib cage, move your right hand away from your tailbone and place it on a point where there is a depression on your 3rd rib on your left side (JSJ13L). This point is about halfway between the base of your collar bone and your nipple.

6) Move your right hand back to your right side to the base of your right collar bone (JSJ22R aka kidney 27 in Chinese acupressure.

REPEAT ON THE OTHER SIDE

(Mirroring the body placement and using the opposite hand as before.)

7) Place the fingertips of your left hand on your tailbone and the fingertips of your right hand behind your right ankle, medial inside of ankle (JSJ5R aka kidney 3 in Chinese acupressure). Breathe deeply 9 times.

8) Move your right hand to the inside of your leg, just above your right knee (JSJ1R) and breathe deeply 9 times.

9) Bring your right hand to your pubic bone and breathe deeply, 9 times.

10) Place your right hand (your left hand is still on your tailbone;) on the center base of your left ribcage (JSJ14L) and breathe 9 times.

11) Leaving your right hand on the base of your left rib cage, move your left hand away from your tailbone and place it on a point where there is a depression on your 3rd rib on your right side (JSJ13R). This point is about halfway between the base of your collar bone and your nipple.

12) Now move your left hand back to your left side to the depression under the base of your left collar bone (JSJ22L aka kidney 27 in Chinese acupressure).

Stomach Pattern

1) If you have just finished your pancreas pattern you have your hands on JSJ22 and JSJ14 (top and bottom of your rib cage on the same side. Leave your right hand on JSJ22R and put your left hand just below the cheekbone on the right side (JSJ21R). Take 9 deep breaths. Your left hand is not going to leave JSJ21R for the entire side, but the right hand will move from the collarbone point to the lower left rib cage (JSJ14L) for 9 breaths.

2) Now move your right hand to the back of your body to the same place (bottom of rib cage JSJ23L) and breathe deeply 9 times.

3) Move your right hand to JSJ14R, the point on the bottom of your rib cage on the right side and breathe deeply 9 times.

4) Now cross over to your high knee point on the left side (JSJ1L) and breathe deeply 9 times.

5) On the same knee go to the outside of the leg and come down a bit below the top of the fibula (JSJ8L aka stomach 36 in Chinese acupressure). This point will most likely be a little sore as it is named "the cure for a thousand diseases" in China. Once you have breathed 9 times there move your right hand down your leg and grab your middle toe.

REPEAT ON THE OTHER SIDE

(Mirroring the body placement and using the opposite hand as before.)

Bladder Pattern

1) Start with your right hand on the back of the neck pressing on the left side (JSJ12L) about halfway between the ear and your midline. The left hand is on your tailbone. Breathe deeply 9 times. The right hand will not leave this neck point for the entire pattern on the left side, but the left hand is going to trace the pattern down the left side of your body.

2) Move the left hand to behind the left knee for 9 deep breaths.

3) Then move the left hand to just behind the left ankle (JSJ16L). Whenever doing the points behind the ankle, simply grab hold of the indents on the inside and outside behind the ankle.

4) After the 9 breaths behind the ankle move the left hand down to the little toe and grab hold of that for 9 more breaths.

REPEAT ON THE OTHER SIDE

(Mirroring the body placement and using the opposite hand as before.)
